Mentioned as one of Jesus' disciples in Matthew, Mark, and Luke, Bartholomew's name is replaced in John's gospel by Nathanael, leading many to believe that the two are different names for the same person. Little is known about his work, though some traditions place him later in India or Armenia.

You are invited to Gloria Dei for any of our worship times or activities. Choirs hold rehearsal every Wednesday, new singers are always welcome. For young families a cry room is available in the lounge out the back of the sanctuary.
CHOIR PRACTICE
Weekly choir rehearsals: Senior Choir, High School Choir (grades 9-12) and Youth Choir (grades 4-8) rehearse at the following days and times each week: Senior Choir: 7:30-8:30pm on Wednesday evenings; High School Choir: 9:00 am on Sunday mornings; Youth Choir: 6:30-7:10 pm on Wednesday evenings.
WOMEN'S SUNDAY
Women's Sunday, September 26, is a Sunday dedicated to the women and girls of our congregation. There will be special music by a women's choir and instrumentalists, special refreshments, and a temple talk. Pastor Gloria Keiser Dover, Director for Evangelical Mission in the Southeast Iowa Synod will preach and lead the adult forum.
