Finance Ensures that the congregation’s financial obligations, including benevolence, are paid in a timely fashion, and that individual members receive timely statements of regular giving. Periodically reviews all church fees (such as for weddings and use of the building by outside groups); receives budget requests from the Executive Committee and from operational committees; ensures that the Audit Committee is regularly elected; and provides for annual audits of the accounts of the treasurer and recording secretary as well as accounts of the schools and organizations within the congregation.SAMPLE ACTIVITIES: Ensure timely payment of bills, review payments to benevolence, monitor tax payments, coordinate “statements of giving” mailings (at least quarterly), and maintain fee schedules.
