Worship & Music Helps assure that church services are conducted in accordance with the liturgy of the ELCA. Supervises and helps advance the church’s music program; strives to bring people together for worship through praise, music, thanksgiving, prayer, and love; and coordinates opportunities for people to offer themselves for the purpose of God’s praise and work with Christ’s love. Areas of responsibility include the director of music ministry, organists and choir directors, music and worship service programming, music literature, hymnals, and paraments.SAMPLE ACTIVITIES: Plan service times. Plan worship including liturgies, hymns, and Psalm settings. Plan festival worship services including special music. Coordinate special music including individual groups both vocal and instrumental.
