Campus Ministry - Believing Boldly in God's Grace

Gloria Dei is a partner congregation with Lutheran Campus Ministry at The University of Iowa. LCM offers worship, learning, spiritual growth, fellowship, and service to the world in Christ’s name. The student center known as Christus House (right) is located at 109 E Market Street (just east of the corner of Clinton and Market). The house is open on a regular basis for students to study, cook a meal, pray, or have conversation with friends and chat with Campus Pastor Robert Dotzel. LCM Events

Mondays at 5:10 and a half: Jesus and the Kingdom of God. Bible study with video presentation led by Pastor Rob.

 

Thursday supper at 6: Provided by ELCA Seminary Recruiters, followed by a program on vocations.

 

Art Fridays: Join student leader Megan Henson at Christus House on Fridays between noon and 5 p.m. for conversation and relaxation through artistic release.

LCM Mission Trips

Spring Break Mission Trip: March 10-17, 2012, Nicaraguan cultural immersion experience; Managua and the rural community of San Francisco Libre, where we will stay in the homes of young adults who are part of the Youth Network Against Violence. Total cost will be around $1,200. Scholarships and fundraising opportunities available.
